Fusion was purchased for his Rosasharn genetics, and was my first buck. He is line bred on Tiger L, and is again as sweet as the day is long. He is a grand gentleman, and has an almost human way of looking at you and is actually very…polite! That is the best way to put it. I feel protective of him because of his endearing personality and the fact that he is not a perfect buck. I worry about where he will end up and I want it to be a good place where he can have a nice job and a nice home. Fusion's strengths are: his incredible length (which he consistently passes on to his kids), his level topline, his excellent flat rump, and yup, his large teats. I have never seen large teats on a buck, but Fusion has them, and so do his daughter's. I am milking one set of them now, and I am grateful! What Fusion lacks is that nice overall general appearance, he is a bit of a beast. He does not have a pretty head. Fusion is quite powerful, and he has added substance and levelness to all of his kids that I have had. He is about "50-50" with having pretty daughters; half of his kids have been what you would call pretty, and a couple of others have his less than elegant look. I am happy with what his (pretty) daughter is doing here; she is milking well and is a good example of what Fusion does right. What Fusion also contributes to is Mini-Oberhasli. He has a son who has been used to breed first generation mini-obers, Double SunDog FU Red River. Fusion is capable of throwing that chamoise marking. He does have a "milk splash" white spot that has also come through, so he is not pure on the markings. Fusion seems to be all about milk, and less about show, although I would be curious to see how he would do in a show as he is super easy to handle. He should have a new linear appraisal to see what his specific strengths are, and he has two daughters out of different dam lines freshening this fall. My plan was to keep the best Fusion daughters I had room for (Harmony) and breed those daughters to Cody, in order to get a complete package: heavy on the milk, large teats, show conformation, and good personalities.
