(MCH/CH Dawnland Farm Tabby's Halifax 'E' 90 x Twin Creeks AH Finale's Zip 1*M)
This buck should be called "Big Bucks" for a lot of reasons. First of all, he was shipped across country, was sold to me, and then survived a terrible dog attack, all at great expense! I have also been told by a few people; "You've got a gold mine in that buck." Well, I don't think there is any such thing as a "gold mine" in the goat business, but Cody is pretty amazing. He has very sharp shoulders, VERY dairy with flat boning and thin, soft skin, high pins, and an uphill stance. He also sports an excellent topline and wide angular back end. He would have been a fabulous buck to show, as he also has a great easy going personality and is as easy to manage as the family dog. Unfortunately, he has a lasting limp from the dog attack, and I don't think showing is in his future…truly a shame! I believe a linear appraisal and some milking daughter's will quickly prove his worth. His leg has not stopped him from siring some gorgeous babies stamped with his awesome general appearance and angularity. He is a winner in a smaller package and is herd sire material all the way.
